Blue Pill, Red Pill

This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.

Ok ok! Yes, tumpak!

Katunayan first time lang nya mangibang bayan para magwork at first time rin nya mangibang bayan for that matter. So lahat2 ng ito'y first time sa kanya kasama na rin ang hard choice nilang mag-asawa na mawalay sa isa't isa sa kabila ng wala pang one year nagsasama sa iisang bubong bilang husband-and-wife. Anyway congrats to you Jayson for you are now a father of twin sons. Nakupo lalo atang kinuryente ka ng homesick.
But I think Jayson is just one of the thousands of young Filipino fathers who made the hard choice of working abroad so that they can provide a better future for their families. They took the red pill and saw how deep the rabbit hole was. Tulad ko rin several years back. Magti-three years old yung panganay namin ng iwan ko ang mag-ina ko to work in China. I could have taken the blue pill and just worked locally and the story ends there. But in reality the story goes on to the next chapter and the next and the next until it ends with your last breath. So I took the red pill, face reality that life is going to be tough no matter what. Thanks to the current technology, sa dami ng sari-saring means of communication hindi na ganun kahirap ang maging homesick. Anjan ung cellphone, internet, yahoo messenger with voice, facebook (with all the kodakan ng gimiks...hoy pampaalis homesick rin un noh!)

Cmpre d rin natin maiiwasan ung maging pensive moods natin paminsan2 but to me I'll just keep it within the circle of my family and close friends. Kung ipublish ko man ginagawa ko namang poetic and metaphoric. Better leave my readers confused than sentimental. Besides makikita mo ang spontaneous influx ng concerns sa mga social networking sites twing me sasapit na matinding trials tulad nung Ondoy last year at Haiti earthquake just recently. So for now we are in desperate need of seeing more smiling faces. At the end of the day even if I choose to worry sometimes, I realize nakakapagod din pala. Mas walang kapaguran ung thinking positive and laughing your hearts out. Hahaha!
